I grew up in the town Garrison Keillor used as his influence for Lake Wobegon, "where the women are strong, the men are good looking, and the children are above average." We'd never have dared to make such a public statement. No, we'd simply conduct a passive aggressive campaign to ruin their reputation! Not sure which is worse, or if I should make a gratuitous comment about Californians who just don't know any better...Nah, I'll keep my trap shut!
